The pandemic has been tough for all of us. Auburn Chiropractic Associates made the choice to shut our doors temporarily to protect our clients and staff from the spread of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. After many weeks of monitoring the situation, we made the decision to reopen our facility and have been happily serving our community since June.
Nothing matters more to us than the safety and well-being of each customer, so we have been hard at work to ensure that our reopening has complied with CDC guidelines. We also encourage everyone to continue to follow the CDC recommended tips below to promote positive mental and physical care as the situation continues.
We will continue to use safe practices during this time and ask that our customers do as well. As always, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
It can seem overwhelming to be in your home all day, but there are plenty of at home exercises that not only keeps your heart and body healthy but it can reduce stress significantly. According to a study by Harvard Health, “Aerobic exercise is key for your head, just as it is for your heart”. Keeping a daily exercise routine will not only help you stay healthy during this time, but also help to make you feel more relaxed. If you are able to, go for a walk around your neighborhood. Getting fresh air will also give your body nutrients it may need.
Keep a well balanced diet
Another great way to keep your family’s spirits high is by picking up a new hobby or activity that everyone can get involved in. Cooking is an easy and entertaining way to bring a family together. This is a great time to try that new healthy recipe you have been wanting to try or a great time to get your family into a new routine of eating healthier meals. Try and cut high levels of sodium out of your meals, and exchange it with products or meals that are low in sodium or even better - don't have any. Try to incorporate three colors into every dish you make!
Get plenty of rest
Lack of sleep can cause a variety of health issues and can cause us to be groggy and grumpy. Make sure that you are allowing yourself to get a full night’s sleep. The CDC recommends seven or more hours of sleep for people ages 18-60. If you find yourself getting easily frustrated it could be from a lack of sleep. It is also important that electronics are turned off before bed creating a relaxed and dark environment perfect for getting the best sleep.
Wash your hands and socially distance yourself
It is important to also take precautions that directly prevent the spread of COVID-19. Make sure you wash your hand often, with soap for at least 20 seconds. If soap is not available, make sure you always have a hand sanitizer nearby, to use in the interim. Please also take social distancing seriously. Avoid close contact with anyone who may be sick, and always put a safe distance between yourself and other people in order to help slow the spread.
Auburn Chiropractic Associates couldn't be more excited to get back to work serving our beloved Auburn community. Our goal is to continue to be a service you can rely on during the uncertainty of these times.
